Define the organisations and programme scope
Start with a manageable set of trusts or healthcare organisations aligned with your geography and services. Record the official domains and the governance, estates and finance sections most likely to publish capital information.
Create a consistent project record
For every candidate, capture the organisation, named site or programme, stated need, evidence date, source URL, budget language, current stage and next known decision. Consistent fields make later changes easier to detect.
- Need or risk identified
- Options or feasibility activity
- Business case or approval
- Funding or capital allocation
- Planning or technical work
- Market engagement or procurement
Review change, not just new documents
A programme update is most useful when compared with the previous version. Watch for revised budgets, moved delivery dates, changed priorities, new advisers and wording that indicates approval, pause or cancellation.
Separate programme funding from an available appointment
A capital allocation can support confidence that work matters, but it does not prove that a consultancy commission is open. Check contract registers, framework routes and procurement publications before describing a role as available.
Assign an evidence-led next action
Each record should have a proportionate next action and review date. This turns a document archive into a working pipeline while making it clear which assumptions still require validation.
